I'm not sure exactly how informative you want the book to be, but here is an idea that is not a non-fiction tour book!. It is called The Sun also Rises by Ernest Hemingway!. It is a classic that I just read for a college class!. Honestly, it was just okay as a book, but my teacher told us that when this book came out people used it as a tour book!. Even though it was fiction, all the places in the book are real and tourists would use that book as a guide and travel around the hot spots of Paris!. He does mention many monuments, bars, streets, parks and that sort of thing in Paris and other parts of France as well as Spain!. It may not be informative enough for the knowledge base you are looking for, but just thought I'd add it in!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell

The best book about dishwashing ever written!.

Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller
"It's a wonderful thing, for half an hour, to have money in your pocket and piss it away like a drunken sailor!. You feel as though the world is yours!. And the best part of it is, you don't know what to do with it!."
