I am so upset that this craze is going on and on and on and on, and people STILL keep obsessing about Edward being oh-so-drop-dead-sexy, and Bella being so incredibly fantastic idol material! I mean, seriously, people! It's FICTIONAL!. Bella and Edward are FICTIONAL (and not even good at that)!. Twilight does not have a proper plot!. It does not have proper characters!. It doesn't even have a writing style worthy of a grown-up woman! Let's be honest about this, "Twilight" and all its numerous sequels are probably the worst work of fiction for teens that has been published in the last twenty years!. Oh, and before I forget it, to everyone out there who has these thoughts: Edward is NOT going to marry you!. Grow up and find a real guy to obsess over!. You know, someone you could hypothetically TOUCH!. Rant over!. But thanks for giving me the opportunity!.Www@QuestionHome@Com First and foremost, I need to say that I have read the books and enjoyed them for the right reasons!. It was a nice escape from heavy, tedious reading!. I think the books are popular because they combine an enormous amount of fluff with a little amount of tension!. also, the heroine is a bumbling, clumsy, plain, smart girl!.!.!. who just happens to snag the hottest, most infamous guy in school!.!.!. without even trying!. This probably appeals to a lot of girls out there!. Supposedly, Edward is pretty perfect; from his saucy auburn hair to his shiny big toe he's painted as this chiseled, hard bodied, emotionally stable, mentally acute young man!. He is, essentially, a Mary Jane!. Too perfect to ever be real!. Lots of girls (younger ones, especially!.!.!. forgive the generalization) really love that!. To answer your first question: Yes, I am tired of the Twilight questions!. The people who ask them seem only interested in justifying their infatuation with the books!. "How much do you LOVE Edward!?!!?!!?" is one of the most ridiculous questions I've ever seen!. You're only going to get variations of two responses!. Either you love him or you hate him!. It's a shame that society has come to the point that people need to justify their obsessions on a public forum!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I think they suck royally!. It makes me ashamed of my generation that those books are so popular, especially because there are SO many better books out there!. Vampire love stories are nothing new!. There are obsessed fans because lots of little tweenage girls who want boyfriends/are boy crazy/are hopeless romantics find Edward to be attractive and "perfect", for some odd reason!. Twilight is also popular because it's about as intellectually stimulating as Captain Underpants; in other words, it doesn't make you think at all!. The writing is simplistic and on a fifth grade reading level, so almost everyone can understand the story with little or no thought involved!. It's a fluff read that has no literary value and is easy to get through!. In our society, people want instant gratification, and Twilight is a book that is instantly gratifying!.Www@QuestionHome@Com All I have to say for the matter is that at least people are reading!. They could be out doing god knows what, and messing up their lives like so many teenagers do nowadays so let them read in peace!. also, the amount of Twilight questions has rapidly decreased in the past month or so, since Breaking Dawn cam out so I don't see why you are complaining!.
