You can do minor additons throughout the story of her likes and dislikes, etc!. Maybe have a scene where Alicia and Jane are having breakfast and Jane asks Alicia about some of her favorites!. This could be a way to get some of that info across!. You've already got some physical description in there, so that's good!. You can also maybe have a shopping trip she goes on where she hears her fave song or goes out for her fave dinner!. Something!. Maybe some info can be disclosed when she becomes friends with the Brook and Clark siblings!. There are ways to add it in without it being an overload of info!. :-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

How to describe a character's personality!? Of course, you should always do that through the words of your story, but to make a character "chart", if you will, you should find one of those "character development questions" that you can find easily through google and answer them as if you're your character!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do that thoughout the first half of the book!. Honestly, all that is TOO much details!. The reader wants to read on the changes in the characters life not all the its and bits she loved before that SOMETHING happened and changed it all!.

edit: I mean if you add all this to your story then its too much, but yes a character sketch maybe!. and you're gal is WAY too modern!. <3Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you should add the details all throughout the book, but very subtly!. That way the person reading can get a mental picture of whats happening!. Example in a sentence about her hair from, say, her best friends point of view(just an example, I have no idea of what the story is like)!. **I looked over my shoulder at Alicia's beautiful hair!. I would love to have that girl's hair!. The way the sun glimmers of of the streaks of strawberry blonde amidst all the red was so!.!.!.pretty!.**Www@QuestionHome@Com
