Question: The twilight vampire book series!?
I was thinking of getting one of the books for my teenage daughter and was wondering if there is any sex or graphic violence in the books!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nothing R ratedm Stephenie wrote the book at a young adult series!.

But there is some 'fight' scenes, it gets a tiny bit violence but not very graphic in it!.

There's a sex scene in Breaking Dawn but she doesn't describe it!.

Their all very amazing books, their ment for 13-17 but I know younger kids reading it and their parents seem fine by it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, you shouldn't exactly be worrying about sex!. Stephenie Meyer is Mormon and doesn't feel comfortable about writing love scenes!. However, you SHOULD be worrying about the books' messages and graphic scenes!.

The main character, Bella, has a boyfriend named Edward who is very controlling and obsessive!. In the first book before they start going out, he stalks her -- following her when she goes out of town, going into her room at night and watching her sleep, spying on her out of trees!. When Bella finds this out, she is not disgusted!. She finds it FLATTERING!. Bella also has a sidelines lover named Jacob!. He constantly is forcing himself on her, kissing her when she doesn't want to!. However, Bella never really punishes him!. She tries to punch him once and doesn't even hurt him; instead she breaks her hand!. THIS IS SHOWCASING ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS!.

also, in the story, Bella wants to become a vampire!. She knows that it is essentially taking away her life, becoming part of the living dead, but she doesn't mind!. Tainting loss of life as a good thing is never a good message!.

Lastly, Bella becomes pregnant and the birthing scene is gruesome!. I am a fourteen year old girl, and when I happened to read it I almost threw up!. Bella throws up a fountain of blood and Edward literally BITES THROUGH HER UTERUS to get the baby out of her stomach!. It was sickening and plain-out disgusting!.

Besides all of this, the book is horrible!. Please do not subject your daughter to this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No sex until book four, Breaking Dawn, and it's very delicately done and appropriate!.
Graphic violence!? The third book, Eclipse, gets a little bloody at one point, but it's very mild!. But in Breaking Dawn, there's a ton of gag-worthy stuff, though it's not meant violently!. It's dealing with a!.!.!. messy pregnancy, so there's a bit of gore to be found, though it's not violent!.
Twilight comes first, then New Moon, Eclipse, then Breaking Dawn!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

WARNING: THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVENT READ ECLIPSE AND BREAKING DAWN- theres not extremely graphic and detailed things in it!. in eclipse bella almost has sex with edward!. in breaking dawn there are just the before and after parts!. there is a little violence!. theres quite a bit of blood invovled but they ARE vampires!.!.!. in eclipse a vampire is beheaded and bella described it as a blurred flame coming towards her or something!. and in breaking dawn theres a part where it was like "and she threw up a fountain of blood" or something around there!.!.!.!. but its a really good book and its not really really detailed!. the violence and stuff is really mild!. theres kissing in many scenes but i dont think that should be inappropriate!. you could look on wikipedia!. it shows amazingly accurate summaries!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hmm!.!. sex doesn't being until Breaking Dawn but it's only hinted at - not really described!. Kissing, however!.!.!. there's a ton of that!. Hehe!. Um, how old is your daughter!? The Twilight series is intended for ages 14-17, but I've heard of a lot of younger kids reading!. They seem to be fine with everything!. There is some violence though; that's why the movie is being rated PG-13 because of violence and some sexual content!. But I think it's okay!.!.

Lemme add!.!. in Breaking Dawn, there's this really descriptive pregnancy scene which involves a lot of descriptive gore and !.!. yeah!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This book was written by a mormon mother and it is completely free of sex, although there are definitely romantic, love-dovey moments!. It does have some violence but nothing too graphic that should be a problem!. I am a mother and I read all the books before I gave them to my daughter so if you are concerned, they are a good quick read that you could do to check them out!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

well, in breaking dawn they have sex and in eclipse theres a tad bit o violence, but they never go into detail!. and definetly have her read them!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

no its not to bad exept for what they've already said it just depends on what age she is but Edward and Bella are lovey dovey you could say!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
