Maybe this will help you get started:

Line 1: Hold fast to dreams (This is a repeating line!.)
Line 2: For when dreams ______ (Fill in the blank with a verb!. What could dreams do!? fade!? shatter!? explode!? fester!? go bad!?)
Line 3: Life is a _______ (Fill in the blank with a noun!. You are comparing life without dreams to an image of something else!.)
Line 4: Complete the image you began in line 3, remembering that the last word has to rhyme with the last word in line 2!. (For example, shatter rhymes with matter!. Fade rhymes with wade or paid or made!. Maybe you could do something with that!.)

Keeping with the tone means stay with that somber, hopeless feeling rather than choosing something lighthearted or funny!.

You can do this!Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Hold fast to dreams" would be good for the first line since the other two start that way!. Second line, I don't know!.!.!. Then third and fourth lines, write a simile that compares life to something bad and depressing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
