Question: Help please! Hard times By Charles Dickens !?
Can Anyone Sum up the novel Hard times by Charles dickens for Me please!?
I have started writing my essay about the hard times novel and I have a short time to do it in, I would Like a Summary of the Hard times Novel and a summary of the characters in the story!.
I was also wondering why Charles Dickens did Not like the 'Victorian education system!?'
Charles dickens wrote this story during the industrial revolution when society was changing, But How was the society changing!?

That's a tough one, I studied this novel also for my gcse's which was over 10 years ago now!. What I remember most was what happened to Louisa, how there was this system in place for her education and that was all that mattered, how she was taught to reason but it didn't help her when she fell in love with another man once married to an unsuitable one!. It almost goes to show that it doesn't matter how much education you have there are some important life lessons which can't be taught in the classroom!. also her brother Tom, The Whelp, he was brought up with the same education system yet died after a miserable existence!.
