Why does Bruno refer to Hitler as 'The Fury'!?

he's only 9 so he doesn't understand everything correctly!.

i have to say that i come down on the side that argues that bruno is a bit too naive in this story!. surely a child raised when he was and with a father who is very high up in the nazi command structure would know & understand more than he does!.

however, the author intended the book to be a "fable" and bruno's innocence & misunderstanding are a big part of that!.

also, the author wants the reader to perhaps not understand exactly what's going on in the beginning!. if the word "fuhrer" were used right at the outset, it would give the whole story away!.

also, the author wants to make the story more "universal" & not peg it as something that just happened in nazi germany!. he wants to warn that such horrible things can & do happen again & again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
