You can't go past Harry Potter (by J!.K Rowling incase you didn't know!)

I also just read a book called Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr which was fantastic! It's about this magical race called fey's and two rulers who are fighting against eachother- the winter Queen and the summer King!. In order for the summer King to defeat the Winter Queen, he must find the Summer Queen who will help give him back more power to defeat the Winter Queen!. He then thinks it is Aisline who does not want to join him, as she has the 'sight' to see fey (they are invisible to normal humans) and has been taught that they are not trustworthy and should be avoided!. This makes a terrible problem for Aisline as he wishes to court her, and she is already in love with somebody else and does not trust them!. It's really good!

I also liked the Narinia series by C!.S Lewis!. They are amazing!

This isn't fantasy, but Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz (the first book in the Alex Rider series) is a great Adventure spy book with a 14 year old spy who has to go into dangerous missions around the world and figure out what's going on!. He also gets really cool gadgets like exploding phones, 'pimple cream' that can eat through any type of metal and all other sorts of gadgets!. It is a great adventure story, action packed and a book you will never want to put down!. It has even been made into a movie! (The book's better though!) This is a whole series of books, so if you like it, there are seven more to read!

Those are some of my favourite Fantasy/ Adventure books!. You should deffinitely read them!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi!
The House on the Borderland , The Ghost Pirates or The Night Land written by William Hope Hodgson !.

"In 1877, two gentlemen, Messrs Tonnison and Berreggnog, head into Ireland to spend a week fishing in the village of Kraighten!. While there, they discover in the ruins of a very curious house a diary of the man who had once owned it!. Its torn pages seem to hint at an evil beyond anything that existed on this side of the curtains of impossibility!. This is a classic novel that worked to slowly bridge the gap between the British fantastic and supernatural authors of the later 19th century and modern horror fiction!. Classic American horror writer H!. P!. Lovecraft lists this and other works by Hodgson among his greatest influences!."

"The Ghost Pirates !. !. !. is a powerful account of a doomed and haunted ship on its last voyage, and of the terrible sea-devils (of quasi-human aspect, and perhaps the spirits of bygone buccaneers) that besiege it and finally drag it down to an unknown fate!. With its command of maritime knowledge, and its clever selection of hints and incidents suggestive of latent horrors in nature, this book at times reaches enviable peaks of power!." — H!.P!. The Night Land
by William Hope Hodgson
[O]ne of the strangest visions ever published in science fiction or fantasy is presented!. The Sun has gone out: the Earth is lit only by the glow of residual vulcanism!. The last few millions of the human race are gathered together in a gigantic metal pyramid, the Last Redoubt, probably the first arcology in literature, under siege from unknown forces and Powers outside in the dark!. These are held back by a Circle of energy, known as the "air clog," powered from the Earth's internal energy!. For millennia, vast living shapes - the Watchers - have waited in the darkness near the pyramid: it is thought they are waiting for the inevitable time when the Circle's power finally weakens and dies!. Other living things have been seen in the darkness beyond, some of unknown origins, and others that may once have been human!.?a Excerpted from The Night Land on Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia!.

One fantasy book that I'd recommend above
all others (that I've read so far) is
'Neverwhere' by Neil Gaiman!. Neil Gaiman puts
this subtle humour in his writing that will just
have you grinning without even noticing :)

It's not that hard to read, and the novel might get
off to a slow start, but trust me - you won't regret
reading it!. You can read it online here:

It might take a long while to load, but just keep
on scrolling down :)

I hope this helps! Www@QuestionHome@Com
