Yes, it's much truer to the story than the original Stanley Kubrick version!. Granted, the first film has a lot of flavor, while the Adrian Lynn film is played a bit too straight perhaps!. Jeremy Irons is perfect!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think so!. In the sense of plot this follows the book more closely than does the Kubrick, for what that is worth, but to my taste it misses much of the tone of the book!. Lolita has many different aspects, and each reader (or directot or screenwriter) can focus on what they like, but I think this version completely missed the satire and the comedy and the game-playing aspect of the book!. In Nabokov's book, some pathos creeps in and you end up feeling sorry for the characters!. The movie assumes from the start that this is a romantic tragedy the main point of which is to sympathize with the characters!.

At least that is how I remember it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Is that the one with Jeremy Irons!? In that case, yes! I enjoyed it a lot, although I'm a fan of the old Kubrick version, too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. I thought the original movie version was much better!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There was also a movie out the same time called HAPPINESS!. I found this one pushier (in the emotional sense)Www@QuestionHome@Com
