I've never heard of it before!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
"Purple Prose" is when you write lots but don't actually say lots -- when your words don't really mean anything!.

For example, if I wrote a book about how important it is to eat your vegetables then spent pages and pages describing submarines (which contributes nothing to my story), then that would be purple prose!.

The most common type of purple prose is when writers spend ages describing the landscape!. "WE DON'T CARE WHAT THE TREES LOOK LIKE! TELL US WHO DIES!!"Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's something you want to avoid for the most part!. Purple prose is extravagant, overly descriptive, flowery writing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
