I'm just wondering about the books !. !. !. is there a lot of witchcraft in them!? Please don't give anything away!. I just want to know any negative elements (in general) that are in the first book!. And was it worth the read!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Witchcraft!? Nay!. Gemma finds she has some powers!.!.!. but she's most definately not a witch!!! It's a little hard to explain

Negative elements in the first book!.!.!. well in the third she gets a little bit sexual with her boyfriend (they don't actually do it, and Libba Bray is pretty good at not putting too much detail in those areas) but really not any I can think of in the first!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

oh these books are so great you should definitely read them!!
there is some magic in them, but it is written really well!. basically gemma finds a parallel world with magic and she has to figure out the deal with it while dealing with school and every other angst a teenager in victorian england has to deal with!. the book focuses on gemma and her friends who go to boarding school in victorian england and how they have to cope with other girls, fitting into society, finding a suitable husband, romance, and family drama!.
so worth the read, and there are three books in total so you have those to read after you are finished with them!.
