Question: Better biography - Lovecraft or Rotten!?
I have to read a biography for school soon and I was hella pumped when I found out about it!. There were so many choices, but I finally narrowed it down to two people - H!.P Lovecraft and Johnny Rotten!. But I absolutely cannot decide which one!. I absolutely love Johnny Rotten as he is my hero!. I already know a lot about him, but I would still love to read his biography!. But I have also been interested in H!.P Lovecraft recently and I'm very intrigued to know more about him, as I know very little right now!. Which one would be better!. Make the decision for me, 'cos I absolutely cannot!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It will be far easier to read the bio of someone you already know a lot about!. As for being a hero !. !. !. well, I suppose there must be something to be said for a man who survived all the problems that the Sex Pistols had!. But you already know a lot about Johnny Rotten, so that won't broaden you as much as reading a bio of someone you don't know much about yet!.
It's not only Lovecraft's works that are weird!. His personal life was far stranger than Rotten's seems to have been!. (All I know about Johnny Rotten is what I just read on the Wikipedia!.) And it doesn't hurt that HPL is from a much earlier time than either of us; JR is still alive, in fact about a decade younger than I am!.
You might want to read the Wikipedia article on Lovecraft (see below) to help you decide!.
Personally, I think HPL is more important, but that's probably because I think literature is more important to the world than rock music is!. (I concede there are contrary arguments, but !. !. !.)

I;m sure this is a literature assignment!? If so, H!. P!. Lovecraft as surely had a greater effect on the world of literature than Johnny Rotten!. He was a correspondent of many great literary figures of the first half of the 20th century, and his own literature has had a resounding and growing effect on the world's literature ever since!. Every time you hear a reference to Cthulu, or the Necronomicon, or Yog-Soggoth, or many figures in weird tales, that was H!. P!. Lovecraft!. There is still, and growing, an H!. P!. 1!. I know a lot about Johnny Depp but I've just started reading one of his biographies and I love it!.
