Question: Why is this question here!?
Do you ever wonder that when you browse through the questions in any given category!? I've noticed it a lot recently in B&A, I've developed a few theories: 1) It automatically routed here and the asker didn't notice, 2) The asker wanted a board regular's input, 3) The asker is amused by misleading people!. I've come up with others, and don't particularly care, but I was curious why it really does happen!. What are your theories, or if you are one of these frequent mis-posters why do you do it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Some people ask questions because they want inputs from particular category users, like this one (I suppose)!. also B&A is the first category in all categories and subcategories on Yahoo!Answers!. So perhaps it is easier to slot it in here!.
Another reason can be (as once an asker had said) that people realted to books may be knowing!. I dont remember what his question was about, but he thought writers (so he supposed, not me!) would be knowing!.
Another reason, may be because some questions relating to Bible and other books get routed here instead of going to the R&S category!. Same thing about games and movies on books!. SO many Harry Potter Video game questions find their way here instead of going to the Gaming Section!
I have also seen questions which should have been in B&A being wasted in other categories!.
One more thing, I sincerely wish people made it a habit to ask questions properly!. You may be acquainted with the digusting feeling of opening a question thinking it to be some sort of a literary discussion and finding it asking who was hotter - Edward or Jacob!?

I agree with your first two theories, don't know about the third!. I've had number 1 happen to me with a question, but I always check before I post!.
I've asked questions that don't really belong in B&A just because I like the group and the people in it, and I'd much rather have their opinions!. Unless I'm trying to figure out why Y!A isn't working, or something school-related, I post in B&A!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
I've done on two occasions, and it's mostly when I ask a question in a particular category that isn't very active, I transfer it to a category that is generally active!.
But some people get really regular with asking some of the most ridiculous questions and putting it in the wrong category!Www@QuestionHome@Com
I have once asked that of a person who posted a pregnancy test question here!.
Her reply was: 'I didn't choose, YA just put it here without asking so just friggin deal with it!!!!!!'
