I'm pretty sure Rowling was writing an encyclopedia on that and that it was going to get published!. It may have become one of those "I'll only let winners of a contest see this" kind of things, but there was going to be an encyclopedia!.

I know a Harry Potter website was sued for having their own online encyclopedia, because Rowling was writing one!. So I'm sure you wouldn't be able to find one online for that reason, but I could be mistaken!.

Do a google search for the Harry Potter Lexicon!. That should tell you everthing you need to know!.

Mugglenet!.com and theleakycauldron!.com also have encyclopedias, but the lexicon is the most detailed!. :)
