You mean "If I want to be a writer"!?

UCLA, UNY, Harvard!.

By the way, you don't need to attend university to become a writer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dear friend,
Writers and poets are not produced by Universities and colleges!. They can give you the degrees and the basics of the things but you have to keep reading the past masters to understand how they came up!.
I believe and know that most of the top poets or writers of the past, the great masters, were self taught!.
You can join any college but it is up to you how you groom the writer in you!.
Bless you

Honestly, just about any college would be good!. The issue is how serious are you about writing!. It is not an easy profession!. The bottom line is this: colleges or universities can teach you the fundamentals of writing; they cannot make you a good writer!. Moreover, being a good writer does not assure you of success!. You have to be able to impress a publisher!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yah, wanna!? if you used that in writing you would get slautered, just a friendly tip from another writer!.

but i know harvard is a really good school for writing!. (sorry i couldn't list more, but im from canada and i want to go to school in canada, the 3rd best educational system in the world, so yah, but harvard is quite well known for being a great writing school!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

any school will do but some of your other answerers are absolutely right, you don't have to go to school to be a writer, and school can teach you the fundamentals but it isn't going to teach you how to be a good writer, to be a good writer you must read a lot( and I mean a lot, it's just like studying anything else!.) and you must write a lot, if you don't know how to get started you may try free writing (just writing down anything even if it's "i can't think of anything to write" a 100 times on a page) free writing will help get your brain jump started and ideas will pop into your head oh and don't let anyone tell you that all authors must write in a strictly literary manner, just look at stephen king, he has gotten famous off of writing dialogue that has plenty of improper speech, because that is how people speak, another note, you may want to read stephen king's book: On Writing!. I found it too be very helpful and informative, just don' t try to do the exercise in it and submit it online, he wrote the book over 10 years ago and you can't submit the exercise online anymore Www@QuestionHome@Com

i read where florida state has the only pulitzer prize winner on staff---robert olen butler!.

good luck!. but i agree with an earlier answerer!. only you can make yourself a good writer!. some of the best writers have no education!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You would want a liberal arts college to teach you the basics and give you a grounding in good literature, but college is not necessary to be a writer, nor does going to college guarantee that you will be a good and/or successful writer!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yale!.!.!. well, almost any Ivy League, but then there are colleges just for writerss (like Institute Children's Lit and things like that)!. I would take other things too, in case it doesn't work!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
