Some Good Vampire Books?

Question: Some Good Vampire Books!?

I have read the twilight series, and im now obsessed with vampires!. LOL, it would help for some of you to give me some good titles that i can read that have vampire story lines or vampires in them or something (:
Ohh and can you include the author too!?

I'm the same way as you :) totally obsessed with vampires :D

I have started to read two completely different vampire series!. One is Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy Series (two books are out and the next one is coming out in either november or october)

And secondly, Melissa De La Cruz's Blue Blood Series (it also has two books out out and another one coming in a month or two)

Both of them are really good in very different ways, but if u liked Twilight then there is a good possibility that you will also like these :D

Well, I can tell you who I like & dislike!.

READ:

Armintrout: Blood Ties--- It's a 4 book series & is pretty well written!. The main character can be a little annoying, but she's likable!. Surrounds mainly vamps!.

Kim Harrison: The Hollows series--- the main character's a witch, but her best friend is a living vampire!. Vampires are frequently mentioned, though!. This is one of the very best authors out there right now!.

Kelley Armstrong: Women of the Underworld--- While vamps aren't the main storylines, the books are well written & vamps are mentioned!.

L!.A!. Banks: Huntress--- This is a series with a young black girl as the main character, which isn't the norm in most books (sadly)!. The series is amazing!.

Charlaine Harris: Sookie Stackhouse--- Recently picked up as a tv series (Trueblood), this series focuses around a psychic waitress!. Really fun to read!.

Rachel Caine: Morganville Vampires--- I really recommend this, as it's another teen series!. The characters are well written, interesting, and flawed!. You really grow to care for them over time & the series is very mature in tone for a teen series!.

PC Cast and Kristin Cast: House of Night--- Another teen series that's incredibly mature & doesn't "write down" to teens like they were idiots!. Rather than have someone bite & turn someone into a vamp, people just randomly become vampires & have to live in one of several vampire academies throughout the world!. Pretty dang good!.

AVOID:

Laurell K Hamilton: Anita Blake--- While her first books were great, eventually the books started focusing entirely upon who Anita was banging!. While sex isn't a bad thing, it is when over 2/3 of your book is badly written erotica!. No, seriously!.!.!. the scenes are that bad & the plot is that slowly moving!. One of her books centers around Anita going from sex scene to sex scene!.

!?: Black Dagger Brotherhood-- Some love it, some hate it!. Some love to hate it!. I couldn't get into the series myself!.

Ellen Schreiber: Vampire Kisses--- This series is completely horrible!. The main character is a goth sterotype wanna be & there's little to no chemistry!. I tried 2-3 times to get into this series & every time I wanted to burn the book afterwards!. Think up every goth stereotype & fanfiction cliche, & then you'd have this series!. It's pretty much the "poser prep" of the literary goth world!.

DEBATABLE:

Kenyon: Dark series--- Some books are great, but some really stink!. Overall, the series is pretty good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There's always the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice!. They are classic vampire series!. Some of her books included in the series were made into a movie like Queen of the Damned (Aaliyah), and Interview with the Vampire (Cruise, Pitt)!.
And then there's Vampire Kisses!. I'm getting the book too, but I forgot the title!.

I hope you won't miss the Vampire Chronicles!. It'll get you hooked even more!.

The Vampire Chronicles - Anne Rice
The Nightworld - Sorry, I can't remember the author!.

I really liked Darren Shan, and I'm going to read the Anne Rice books very soon!.

The Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton - it is brilliant
The Merdith Gentry series by Laurell K HHamilton- although it is not vampires it is still supernatural!.

Depending on your age, I would recommend Christine Feehan's books starting with The Dark Lord!.
