I'm thirteen!. I dislike the Twilight saga for many reasons, the first being that it's shallow, and just uses vampirism as a vehicle for a contrived, cheesy and plotless romance!. I love Interview With A Vampire, as Lestat (and all of Rice's characters) are very compelling, interesting, and complex!. I think, from what I've experienced of girls my age, is that most of them are very simple and superficial, and so is Bella!. Lestat, on the other hand, is dark, lonely, and quite difficult to understand, which is what being a vampire is!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think the gay themes of Interview probably don't work with the same audience as the Twilight series, which seems to be aimed at young teen girls!. While Rice took advantage of the new acceptance of gay themed literature to write books that used vampires to explore the universal feeling of being an outsider and the ennui of existence, Twilight seems to just be rehashing the stock Buffy the Vampire Hunter theme of chaste love in a modern world!.

The biggest problem with Twilight is that it is less a copy of Interview, then it is of a long running TV show, comic book, and book series!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

both are excellent in my opinon
