Question: Twilight saga: Imprinting questions!?

Okay so I'm reading Eclipse right now!. Jacob just told Bella about imprinting, but he didn't really spend a lot of time talking about it!. I was wondering, how do they imprint on someone!? And also, how does it work!? All Jacob said was it was like love at first sight, only more powerful!. I'm a bit confused and it's bothering me!. Thanks in advance :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

They first see the person then they "imprint" on them!. Basically they will be whatever that person needs!. Say They need a best friend, that's what they'll be!. Soul Mates!? Something to that affect!. Their world becomes that person and Its stronger than love because it's more of Protecting and loving and being everything for that person!. imprinting!.!.!. so basically it is like love at first sight, you don't know when it will happen, but when it does happen, you'll know that you've just imprinted on someone!. and once you've imprinted on that person, you would always want to be with that person and you would do everything you can to protect that person!. OK so it's like their whole world revolves around them - but it isn't always romantic!. Later on Quil imprints, on a 2 year old, (sorry mini-spoiler - but no change to the story - dw) and jake says [not exact quote] "he will be the best big brother she could have, then when she gets older, the most caring best friend she will ever have, and then later, when she is ready - romantic connection" And its like who you imprinted on, you would die for!. imprinting is basically when the werewolf spots the one they're most able to mate with (since werewolves can't mate with each other)!. it's like love at first sight (as jacob says) but stronger such as they can't ever be away from them because (since werewolves are already overprotective over the people in "their" land) they are even more overprotective with the person they imprint on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

imprinting is when a were-wolf just looks at a person and they know that they hve to protect them at all costs, adn make sre theyy're safe!. when theyre youngg, it isn't romantic but once the perrson wants a boyfriend, the werewolf is there :]Www@QuestionHome@Com
