Question: Any good recent (1995+) science fiction books that fit my criteria!? !?
I've read the first two books of The Domain Trilogy, and the third Fourth Realm trilogy!. I've also completed The Christ Clone Trilogy!. All three of these series I've found to be very very good!. I just started on the Pendragon Series, which I've also found to be superb!.

I don't like Star Wars books nor do I like books where aliens wage war with humans (unless its really exceptional like Halo!. The Ender's series wasn't that good)!. I didn't like the Dune Series!.

I find most books dealing with time or conspiracies of the ancient (like Domain) to be enjoyable!. also, books that are similar to National Treasure!.

If you have any good SF books or series you could recommend that fit with the above, that would be great!. If you could add a short summary, that would be even better, but I would be fine with just a title!.

I've asked this question before, and there were a whole bunch of people who gave me ridiculously long lists!. Frankly, I'd rather get just a single good recommendation that you think I have a high chance of liking than a huge list of books copy pasted from a website and no consideration at all of what I know I like!.

Keep in mind, I'm 17, and to tell the truth, I've tried reading Phillip K!. Dick and other not so recent authors that people said were really good at writing SF!. They didn't really work for me!. The more recent Dan Brown worked!. I really think recent authors will work best for me!.

Thanks in advance!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I recently read House of Suns, by Alastair Reynolds!. It's a lengthy hard SF story!. The central plot concerns a millions-of-years-old conspiracy to hide a secret of galactic implications!.

Mindscan, by Robert J!. Sawyer, has elements of conspiracy in it!. The main character elects to have his mind duplicated, and in the process becomes embroiled in secret, unethical research!.

Powersat, by Ben Bova, is set in the near-present!. The protagonist runs a company that is assembling satellites in orbit to collect power from the sun (hence the title) and then beam it down to Earth in the form of microwave radiation!. Other groups are interested in the technology, however, and not all of them are friendly!. One group represents the interests of oil companies; another is hatching a presidential assassination plot!.!.!.!.

also by Ben Bova, The Green Trap sees a scientist discover a revolutionary new way to fuel cars using bacteria to convert water into hydrogen fuel!. The oil corporations won't stand for this sort of innovation, and the scientist has to go on the run to preserve the discovery!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try Little Brother by Cory Doctorow!. It is about teen geeks and hackers defending the Constitution and taking on Homeland Security!.

Another good one is Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card!. It is about children trained in a battle school that don't realize their tactics are helping to defend Earth from the Buggers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
