There are several spots in your question that point to this need!. Other than that!. I am assuming that you want to show that Taoism did not spread in the "normal" ways that other religions spread!? --However, it may have spread word-of-mouth as people migrated back and forth, and that this may be seen by the fact that many principles of the Tao appear in neighboring religions!. Of course, many religions spread in exactly this way!. People visit distant relative in another province or even another country, and amongst other things, discuss their views on religion and so forth!. Those ideas that seem novel and/or acceptable tend to spread more widely!. Perhaps that is the best way to go on this!.!.!. --that because it has no missionaries and was not an officially backed governmental religion, that it had to have spread by word-of-mouth!. --And that this proves the precept that it must contain ideas which have mass appeal and easily spread to other nearby countries and work their way into the local religions there!. To make it a proper thesis, I would advise doing some research (whether by internet or library to prove the theory!. You need to cite examples to back up any claims or ideas!. (preferably as many examples as you can find!.) One thing you need to show is that the ideas were in Taoism first and then spread from there!. If it turns out that the other religions had these ideas first, then Taoism is the one that received the ideas from them!. See!? So investigate when each religion was formed and specifically if you can, when these common ideas entered the cannons of each religion!. If this thesis is for a degree, such as a doctorate, you must very carefully document any and all references!. The more references, the more they will see you put a lot of work into it, and that your are deserving of recognition for your thesis, (and you get your degree!.) Of course, you must be careful that you give the correct informations, as it will no doubt be checked for accuracy!. If it is a thesis for a particular class and you are simply looking for a good grade, the same applies, but may not be as strict as to rules and layout of the paper!. There are many places online that will describe the way to layout a proper thesis!. They need to be done in a certain accepted format!. If it is a doctoral thesis, the rules are the most strict, but following them leaves the reviewer(s) with a better impression that you "did your homework" and tried to get it right!. Your next line seems like it would be another topic to me, and would be a different thesis statement!. If it is necessary to add in your paper than I would add it before the sentence that I wrote, but you would need more information with it!.
