Help with wet books!?

Question: Help with wet books!!?

I just got home from school, I open my back pack and I have orange gatorade all over my books (textbooks, library books)!.!.!. and my ipod but it did work anyways!. so how do I dry these books and get the pages looking normal again!?

Oh, hun!. There is no way those books will be good again!. They will be usuable though!. Just with very stiff pages and some may stick together badly!. I suggest just buying new books and don't put drinks in your bag!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

If it was water you could just put it over a vent the when it is dry put other heavy thing on top of it to smooth out the pages but since it is Gatorade i don't know what you could do!. just next time keep your drink away from you books or just don't put it in your back pack!. If your school is like my school you might have to pay for both the text books and library book!. I know it sucks i had that happen to my books many times but it was with water so the pages were just crinkly!

Depends on how deep the damage goes!. If it's really deep, then I'd say the books are going to be a write-off, and you'll most likely have to fund their replacement!. If it's minor, then they're most likely salvageable!.

Either way, I would make two recommendations: Keep the lids to your drinks screwed on TIGHTLY, or just don't put drinks in your bag with your books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hmm, I read somewhere that you could try steaming the pages open!. I haven't tried it myself though, so I can't guarantee that it will work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If they aren't stuck together, just wipe them off, so they wont be sticky, they will be stained I'm sure, but they will still be usable!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
