Reach for the stars! Read the classics - Dickens, the Bronte sisters, Jane Austen!. But adolescence is often such an abysmal period, read plenty of humor, too - P!.G!. Wodehouse, Martin Amis, Christopher Hitchens columns in the magazine Vanity Fair, Douglas Adams, Kurt Vonnegut, tho Vonnegut was often more dark than light!. Mad magazine remains classic fare, too!. Best Books section bar none is the Irish Times Weekend edition and don't miss the New York Times weekly magazine!. The New Yorker has terrible fiction these days and the poetry goes from bad to worse but the columnists except rock girl Frere-Something are excellent, esp theatre critic John Lahr!.

That oughta keep you busy for awhile!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Three different authors I would recommend!. Douglas Coupland (wrote Generation X, and several other good books such as Miss Wyoming) Chuck Klosterman (Media writer, columnist for Spin Magazine, writes about music and pop culture!.) and Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club, writes with a dark sense of humor!. Most of his characters will make you compelled to read!. Good if you like to read into strange personalities!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

to kill a mockingbird by harper lee and the alchemist by paulo coelho!. you might also like victoria holt!. her other pen names are jean plaidy and phillippa carr!. you might also like gwen bristow!. i read holt and bristow when i was your age, but that was many, many yrs ago!. give them a try anyway!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
