(I don't like the series because we dissected it in Literature and decided it was just naively utopian sensationalist fiction!. Although we agree that we know why people like it - for the exact reasons we don't!.) You could start out by reading the vampire classic of all time - Dracula by Bram Stoker!. It's not as stiff as it sounds!. Really!. Then there's Anne Rice, but you have to be selective about that because not all her books are good, and some of them may have their focus on relatively controversial issues!. I've met Christian families who refuse to even touch her books, to give you an idea!. There's also "My Swordhand is Singing" by Marcus Sedgwick, which is more serious and portrays vampires in a negative light!. It is rather thrilling, though, and gives an insight into the superstitions people used to have about vampires and how the myth originated!. Then, of course, you can look in the Horror section (not YA!) of your local bookstore for more!. There's plenty of vampire-seducing-human literature in there, as well as random continuations to Dracula (not that they're not good; there are just so many of them)!. They are the best vampire books I have ever read!. Wait, let me rephrse: They are the BEST BOOKS I have ever read! Twilight is a fantasy/romance novel and it is just beautiful!.Its about this 17 year old girl who moves to a new town and meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, who just doesn't seem to be human (three guesses for what he really is!) The Twilight Saga is becoming so popular now, its amazing! Almost as popular as Harry Potter!. The Twilight movie comes out at the end of the year, so watch out for that to!
