Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has sold over 65 million copies worldwide since it's release in July 2005!! (crazy!!) ----it sold over 9 million copies in the first 24 hours of release in America and the UK! Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has sold over 55 million copies worldwide since its release in June 2003!! ----it sold over 11 million copies in the first 24 hours of release in America and the UK! The record before this book came out was held by the sixth harry potter book, which sold nine million copies in the first day!. the fifth book sold 5 million copies on the first day, and the fourth book sold about 4 and a half million books the first day!.
