City, yeah, that's the setting, but doesn't cities always have a bright side and a shady side!? Well, I think the Outsiders takes place in the shadier side of town!. And the plot, Johnny is on the lam for manslaughter and he and Ponyboy take refuge in an abandoned church in a nearby town with the help from a friend!. But as things go in these stories, things never go exactly as planned, the church goes up on fire, and there are little kids on a field trip inside!. Pony and Johnny are both injured in the process of saving the kids, but Johnny's injuries are fatal!.

I love the book and many more that comes from her!.!.!.!. :) she inspired me !.!.!. The Plot i really don't under stand but u have to see the movie! I love it is easier to understand also!.!.!.!. because its really what happens over their summer !.!.!.

I think it's actually in NYC, but in the '70s or something!.
The plot is basically Johnny and Ponyboy run away for some reason and they try and get back I guess!.

I was thinking this was more of a midwest story!. Johnny and Pony Boy have to run and hide bc Johnny accidentally kills one of the rich kids while the soci's (rich Kids) are beating them up!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
