Question: How to write a good review!?
So I have to wirte a review of something for my writing class!. I chose to review N!.E!.R!.D!.'s latest album seeing sounds!. Ive written a lot so far, but I would like some help!. What are some things i could add to this!? I own the CD and I like the sounds but i feel the lyrics could be deeper!. but what other artists or albums could this album be compared to!? my work will be critiqued and Im really nervous because ive never written a review before and mine seems kinda stupid!. but anyway, I already have like 2 pages done so far!. what could be good to add to it!. i know that it will be my opnion, but what are some things that i could possibly elaborate on!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I'm not much into that sort of music but I'll try to give you a general outline of what you need to include in a review!.
Well, there are different ways in which to write a review!. You could write about the music in general, referring to the atmosphere it creates around you!. You might also try approaching the music through the the message that the artist wanted to convey to his audience, how easy/difficult it is to understand the singer's emotions!.You could start with the main emotion and go on to speak as to how that particular feeling calls up other feelings in you!. Alternatively, try speaking about the characters themselves,What I mean is that try discussing whether the singer sings of himself or of some other individual, a character who is completely detached from him or one who is similar to himself, if you understand what I mean!. You might also try interpreting the music, like what is really represented by it, that the emotions portrayed in fact hide deeper feelings!. You might also speak of the appeal of the music, why you believe it to be 'the' music, if you get my meaning!.
On the whole, however, whatever approach you chose, you should have included all the following information in your review:-
1!.Setting, atmosphere, mood of the music
2!.Characters or whom the songs deal with
3!.Interests of the music, like what it actually deals with!.
4!. The approach of the artist
5!.Some sort of post-modern perspective on the music as a whole, like if it is fitted or not to the world we are living in!. You referred to other artists but you could yourself include something about other artists whose works you like!. You can criticise the work, in a certain way, say what is really good and what not so good or even bad!.
6!. Your personal opinion, if any, in one sentence in the conclusion!.

Write about both the pros and cons of the album- make sure they are in different paragraphs!. How does the music make you feel (sad, angry, lonely)!? Is the music more background music or does it make you really listen to the lyrics!? Does the album flow together!? Such as, do the songs make sense together or is the album more of a hodge- podge of songs!? Were the songs all written by the same person, different people, people not in the band!?
