Question: What was the pen name of Stephen King!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I love what Stephen had to say about choosing to release his books under the name of Richard Bachman!. He said that he was starting to feel that he was only selling books off of the recognition of his name, and not because of his ability!. So he released them under his other name to see how well they would do!. None of them did very well until it was slipped (not by him) who Bachman really was!. Then they all shot to the top of the charts!. He seemed really disappointed by this!. I think I understand where he is coming from!. Its great to be at the top of your game, but most people would want to feel it was because of something real, not imagined!. I don't think he was complaining about his success, he just felt unsure of its realness!. Its solidity!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

But most newer editions of the books he wrote under that name were re-released with Steve's name on them, like "The Regulators!."Www@QuestionHome@Com
