Dostoevsky - The Brothers Karamazov
Rand - Atlas Shrugged (The Virtue of Selfishness is also interesting)
McCammon - Swan Song (This is my favorite author in this whole list)
King - The Shining (I think I've read all his work, and this is the one that stuck with me the most, next would be his short stories)

Robert McCammon - I have enjoyed just about everything of his that I have read, except Bethany's Sin and Mystery Walk!. They were ok but not great!. I really enjoyed "The Wolfs Hour", the first book of his I read!. But by far my favorite is "Swan Song"!. I love post-apocalyptic books, and he definitely wrote one worth the time it takes to read 1000 pages!. I have always wanted to read "They Thirst"!.

My favorite King is "The Mist"!. I have read this over and over!. But since it isn't a book, I would have to say "Salems Lot"!. It isn't his best work, but it is the first thing I read by him, so!.!.!. "IT" would be a close second!. The book I didn't think I would enjoy as much as I did was "Dreamcatcher"!. This was entertaining in so many ways!.

With Koontz its hard to narrow down!. It would be a toss up between "Life Expectancy", "Intensity", and "Dragon Tears"!. All for different reasons!. The first is funny and uplifting, the second is creepy and uplifting, and the third has a dog as a main character, who has his own dialog in the book!. And what about "Watchers"!? This book is awesome!. They have made this single book into like 6 different movies!. How many books can you say that about!? They all sucked, but still!.
Some others I really enjoyed - "Strangers" "Twilight Eyes" the "Odd Thomas" series This man has really grown as an author!. If you read his early stuff and follow along chronologically, you can actually mark his improvement almost on a book to book basis!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't know the others, but I do know Stephen King and Dean Koontz!. I like King's movies better, his books are waaay too detailed!. I don't like having to go through three pages of the description of the foot of the chair in the yellow walled room with a purple paisley print!. That's just an example, not an actual prose from one of his books or anything!. Dean Koontz on the other, love his books!. I like most of them, but you can tell his earlier books are not as well written!. I think i've read nearly all of them!. The books I recommend more than others:

Watchers (creepy, but awesome)
Life Expectancy
Servants of Twilight
Dragon Tears
Twilight Eyes
Hideaway
False Memory (1st one I read of his)
Velocity
Intensity
Sole Survivor

There is one Stephen King that I have read entirely, and that was a collection of 14 of his short stories!. "Everything's Eventual"!. I strongly recommend everything by Ayn Rand!. She is easily my favorite author!. Anthem is a a wonderful book, but her best is Atlas Shrugged!. It's one of the finest pieces of literature in existence!. The Fountainhead is also amazing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
