Question: I'm writing a descriptive essay about my cousin, how should i start my intro!?

Most biographies begin with a story about the persona nd why they are important, so you might want to start there!. You might tell about how she always hear she looks like someone else, or a story about her getting dressed up for a big event or something that will fit with the rest of your essay!. How about:

"The most vivid memory I have of my cousin is __________________"

Think of the most outrageous thing she ever did and start off with that!.

Is her looks really that important!? Try to develop your essay so that the readers will get a good feel of what type of person she is, instead of focusing on trivial matters such as looks!.

"I didn't think of (name) as a person (italicize); after all s/he is my Cousin!. Cousins don't seem like other people and (again, name) wasn't!. S/he is!.!.!.then start listing attributes!. Throw in a short anecdote to illustrate a point!. You don't want the essay to make her a caricature, but you don't want it maudlin either!. Just remember--this isn't a political nominating speech so put in a couple things that do annoy you, but do it in a rueful way!.
