Question: Why do you people hate Stephanie Meyer so much!?

Twilight s my favourite series ever, and all I keep hearing is all this bashing because of breaking dawn!. I know it was different than the other books, but it was still good and there was a happy ending!. All these immature and selfish people keep personally attacking the author! I mean its gotten so bad that midnight sun is on hold, and might not ever even be published!. Seriously, what is your problem!?!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Why I hate Stephanie Meyer:

A few things!.!.!. Just because I hate Stephanie Meyer doesn't mean I'm a bad person!.

Like most young adult writing, the writing quality is inferior!. Yes, Twilight and The Host are really good quick reads, but they are not good for deep reading!. The low quality of the writing sets a bad example for aspiring writers who have dreams of getting published!. Her fetal attempts at descriptive writing are horrid!. I just read The Host this summer!. On almost every single page, she used the word 'murmur!.' If you think about it, no one knows how to murmur!. Can you show me how to murmur!? It is not only a bad attempt at descriptive language, but an overused word!.

The plot is cliche!. You may not think it is, but it is!. The theme of forbidden love has been written so many times that it makes me nauseous to even think about it!. Yes, I know no one's never done it with a Bella and an Edward, but they have done it with a Romeo and a Juliet, a Phantom and a Christine, and a Fiyero and an Elphaba!.

Those are my two maine reasons for disliking Twilight!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Breaking Dawn wasn't *as bad* as I thought it would be, after hearing the bashing on here!.
What bothered me about it was how young Bella is, and yet!.!.!.how much of a mother she is!. And how devoted she was to having this baby!.!.and how devoted Rosalie was!.!.!.even to the point of hurting herself!. And the drinking blood, I could have done without that!.
Bella herself bothers me with how vulnerable she is!. She's so impressionable!.!.and yet people think she's so amazing!. She'd jump off a cliff for Edward or someone else!.!.!.oh, wait, she did!.

Stephenie Meyer is a drama queen!. The books are decent, I'll give her that, and her imagination is good!. I'll even forgive her for creating a character as annoying as Bella is!. But she took her "fame" and ran with it, what with all this Midnight Sun drama!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I love Stephenie Meyer, she's my idol and I love Breaking Dawn it's my second favorite book ever (all of my favorite books are in the Twilight series)!. I know what you're saying though, I feel so bad for her, you shouldn'y say that like everyone is horrible to her except you, because I and millions of other people would never do this to her!. Some people just are, well!.!.!. Keep your chin up, and keep hope, Stephenie doesn't want people going around being rude to other people because of her!. Last time I looked we lived in a free country!. Not everyone is going to like what you like!. This would be an amazingly lame and boring planet if we all liked the same things!.

Additionally, it was not the fault of her fans that she put Midnight Sun on hold!. It was her own fault for giving away those copies to people she "trusted"!. I think it is incredibly insulting to put blame on the same fans that put her in the pedestal she is now on!.

Get over it!. The fans deserve some respect too!.!.!. and that is what has irked me about this author in particular!. I didn't have an high opinion of her before, after this public tantrum, I have no respect whatsoever left for her as an individual!. well i havent heard anything bad on her personally!. i love the chick just for creating the books!. lol i started twilight in the 8th grade and im in the 11th now and its still my favorite books of all time [the series!. i havent even read breaking dawn yet because i have to re-read the whole series again since i read it so long ago!. but yeah, ill admit that im pretty disappointed bout the midnight sun thing but i cant blame her!. id be pretty upset too!.!.!.!.

I personaly LOVE the Twilight series and I think that Stephenie Meyer is the greatest writer in the world!. I'm reading Breaking Dawn for the second time now and I love it (especially the beggining!. :) ) Can't wait 'till Twilight the movie comes out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I love the Twilight books, I just have a few problems with it!.

-Vampires are not real vampires, just sparkling goody two-shoes who are fairies!. Now I know as a fiction book she has the right to be creative, but the sparkling fairy bit is crossing the border of idiocy!.

-The fans claim it is the best book ever!. Trust me, it is not!. Read the classics people!. And my theory is that you cannot claim a book is the best unless you are very very well-read!. The fans aren't giving an impression on being well-read when they go around saying "Twilight is da bast book eva!" and "Edward is soo HAWT!"

Actually, I think Breaking Dawn was my favorite out of the whole series, either that or Twilight!. And it is not people attacking Stephenie Meyer that is the cause of Midnight Sun on hold, it is because someone leaked it onto the internet without her knowledge!. She just lost the motivation to finish it!.

Like I said, I liked the books, couldn't put them down!. But there are better books out there!.

P!.S!. For all you Edward fans, perfection is boring!. Give me a guy with a touch of sin in him! (i!.e!. My personal favorite, d'Artagnan!)

Edit: To Alice; you're right!. The forbidden love is the most popular plot ever in the romance department!. And the whole human falling in love with a mythological creature, goes back to Greek Mythology! Always some a guy and a mermaid, or some guy and a nix, or some guy and a siren, or some guy with a cecaelia!. And love affairs between the mortals and the gods, haven't you heard of Adonis and Aprhodite!? Psyche and Cupid!? Read your Greek Mythology, so very interesting!Www@QuestionHome@Com
