Though, Stephenie Meyer is confident that the leak was done unintentionally and not maliciously, she decided to halt the completion of MS and it was it's publication indefinitely!. Some people have viewed this as a publicity stunt, while others are just surprised and disappointed!. Personally, I feel that she has every right to feel disillusioned and I hope that she will finish Midnight Sun (Edward's voice is by far the most interesting and introspective)!. But, I would understand her intentions if she chose not to or chose a different route for her characters!. Basically it means that she's too angry at her rabid fans for sharing the first 12 chapters of Midnight Sun and she's teaching those fans a lesson by putting Midnight Sun on hold!. She claims she's too upset at what had happened to continue working on the book!. So yeah, that's what happened!. I'm kinda disappointed!.!.!. I truly do not believe Stephenie would just not write it!. It means too much, to too many of us!. She knows some of us respect her too much to read leaked materials, so for those of us that didn't read it, we are still looking forward to it!.
