Basically the plot is order of events that occur in the story and generally follow the same arc!.

Usually seen as a flat line the leads to a triangle and followed by as another flat line!.

exposition: this is the beginning of the story where you get the basic information you need and most of the background info!. usually end with the inciting moment, in general the first conflict!.

rising action: this where the first conflict is complicated by new conflicts, and usually wear the antagonist is introduced!.

climax: this is the height of the tension in the story and generally seen as the turning point of the story

falling action: this is where the conflict is resolved
