Well i dont really think that it comes anywhere cloe to Twilight beacuse this focuses more on Gemma's problem with her mothers secret and stuff like that but the romance is very sweet and it does not really end in a Happy ending but i think you should try and read it i dont really think you will find any books that are similar to Twilight it is one of a kind but if you like vampire book sthen you can just read blue bloods this has a very good amount of love and like action and stuff!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes there is romance!.

I personally LOVE these books-- I think they are loads better than Twilight!. The story and plot are better developed, the characters are more likable and it is more original than Twilight!.

There is romance but its not DRENCHED in gooey, sappy, cheesiness like Twilight is!. What I mean is, romance isn't the main point of the book--although if you are a big romance fan I still think you'd be appeased!. If you are a huge Twi-fan however, I still think you'd enjoy these books very much so!. Give them a try!

EDIT: The second answerer is wrong-- Gemma and Kartik go a lot farther than friendship in the romance department!. There's two other books in the series by the way-- Rebel Angels and The Sweet Far Thing!. AGATB doesn't have a whole lot of romance other than flirting!.!.!.!.but the other twohave a lot of making out!.!.!.!.!.and a negotiable sex scene ( the author Libba Bray said it was up to the reader to decide)!.

EDIT (again) : Hey, I got your email but it wouldn't let me send one back to you so I copied and pasted it, so I'll just put it here: Yes, it is between Gemma and Kartik!. It's debatable because they are in the realms
realms (I hope I'm not giving to much away, if you hate spoilers stop reading)-- and they both touch the circle thingy in the Caves of Sighs--they enter this little "dream world" together and well, start making out and such!.

It pretty much us up to the reader to decide if its a sex scene or not, I

mean it's not really descriptive--but as for me personally, I say its a sex scene!.
