Question: Best book adaptation!?
Yesterday I watched the best movie based on book - Steppenwolf by Fred Haines!. And it was not the best one because of its similarity to the book!. It was soo good because it revealed the things that were not of the first priority in the book, and did it in a fascinating way!.

So what is the best movie based on the book for you!? Is it because it is similar to the book, because of the new interpretations of the director, or any other thing!? Or because you like the book!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

the lord of the rings!. great books, wonderful adaptation!. i only had a few minor quibbles, but that was it!. the score and the cinemetography where breathtaking

the bbc version of pride and prejudice!. colin firth=darcy!. 'nuff said!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

The movie A Walk To Remember is much better than the book because the book didn't flesh out Jamie's character, which was very one-dimensional!. The Landon character had more of a story and Jamie had a snappier personality!.

I loved the 1995 version of Pride & Prejudice because it really captured the details of the time period, and the acting was superb!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think high Fidelity is a brilliant film, the director and writers have actually read the book, and listened to Nick Hornby, its like they've used the book for the script, i was very impressed, generally directors change the film so much *cough* The golden compass

I really like The DaVinci Code movie I think they did a good job, but the only thing is, I would not have had Tom Hanks play Langdon!.

also, I sound like a geek, but Harry Potter!. They left a lot of things out, though, but the books were so big, how could they possibly fit it all in!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Pay it forward, it made deviations from the book version but in an interesting way!. The main plot held together well and the emotion was there, yet it was possible to enjoy due to not being identical to the original plot!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I run the risk of sounding like a nut here, but I think "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy is truly the best!. Second place goes to "V for Vendetta" from Alan Moore's graphic novel!. God I love Alan Moore! (ironic to put it that way, I guess, since Moore is reputed to be an athiest!. Hah!)Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Shawshank Redemption based on the short story Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redmeption by stephen king!. also Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris and the movie of the same name is great!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would say Atonement!. And this is because it was so similar to the book!.
I have been let down so many times by bad adaptations of excellent books!. This was a good film so it did justice to the book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Fight Club! Because it's just an awesome movie!. They changed a few things but the essence and the theme of the book is present in the movie!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
