Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Well let's see!. Edward is controlling, abusive, bipolar, extreme, black and white, irrational, illogical, easily upset, jealous, and overprotective!. Plus he's BORING!. He's predictable!. He never does anything unexpected!. And he's a criminal, if you want to get technical!. Who wants a guy like that!? I don't think Edward is "perfect", but it bugs me to no end that Bella can't see any wrong in him!. It makes him an unrealistic character!. Jake is protective without being suffocating!. Bella can have fun with him, whereas everything is always oh so serious with Edward!. He's more laidback, is WAY funnier, can actually be spontaneous, isn't nearly as romantic (which is definitely a good thing, in my book at least!. Romantic guys suck), knows Bella better than Edward does, treats Bella more like an actual person than Edward does (IMO), is loyal, will fight for what he thinks is right, is passionate, is emotional, and can love Bella while still allowing her to be her own person!. The best thing about Jake is that he makes mistakes!. He's realistic!. He's easy to relate with!. Edward reminds me of a serial killer!. Most serial killers who are after women are charming, polite, and gentlemanly like Edward is!. Edward just creeps me out for some reason!. He gives me the heebie jeebies!. Jake brings out the best in Bella-- she's more independent, has a little more personality, and seems more comfortable around Jake (even though she's still annoying as hell)!. She can tell him anything, whereas there are some thing she can't talk with Edward about!. Edward brings out the worst in her-- neediness, obsequiousness, dependency, desperation, indecision, and a pathetic Inferiority Complex!. Plus, I think love should have a foundation of friendship!. Your partner should be your best friend too!. Jake and Bella are friends and (were) potential lovers!. Edward and Bella aren't friends at all!. They love each other for no apparent reason, but Jake and Bella's love is more realistic and understandable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I'm an Edward fan, but I can see why people love Jacob!. He's fun--Edward's all old and protective and stuff!.!.!. He's protective too--he's not THAT childish!. Most guys could probably relate to him more (chivalry is so dead!.) You know what!.!.!.I really don't know why I'm an Edward fan!. I guess he was cooler in the first books, but after reading Breaking Dawn and all of those opinions against Edward, I'm starting to see how much of a dud he really is!. Over protective!.!.!.The words that come out of his mouth just aren't normal!. Granted he IS old, but that's not the point!. He's just NOT normal!. BUT, I can't find myself to completely love Jacob!. *sigh* I'll just be Switzerland!.
