Question: Can you recommend a book for me!?
I am looking for a book to read, and I don't know which one!. Can you recommend something for me!?

I'm a huge Chuck Palahniuk fan- I just finished reading Invisible Monsters and Rant!. I loved them both! I'm looking for something similar!.

To me, a good book is one with plot twists, and 'in-your-face' twists!. I like to be shocked and surprised, and left thinking about the subtleties of the story long after I've finished!.

Thanks! Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, first of all I think you should go buy a copy of Clockers by Richard Price!. It's an incredible book that defies ones expectations at every turn!.

After that pick up Going After Cacciato By Tim O'Brien!. It's amazing, it will surely make you think!.

Read Bret Easton Ellis too!. I recommend starting with his first which is Less Than Zero, but you could probably start with whichever one looked the most interesting to you!.

On a different note, I have to recommend Sometimes A Great Notion by Ken Kesey!. This is a book not quite like any other!.

Check out Harry Crews (All We Need Of Hell is my favorite) and Larry Brown (anything)!. You might like Bright Lights, Big City by Jay McInerney too!.

The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell is categorized as science fiction but that does this amazing book a real injustice!. I promise that this one will stick with you for a long time!.

So will Bel Canto by Ann Patchett!. She takes an interesting premise and reveals much about human nature through her treatment of it!. This book went straight to the upper ranks of my favorite books, and there is a lot of competition for those spots!.

A much lesser book, but still quite interesting, is The Beach by Alex Garland!. It's sort of an adult Lord of the Flies, with sex and drugs!. Kind of a nasty little book, I liked it quite a bit!.

This is sort of a strange list but I think it's appropriate to your question!. I hope you find what you're looking for!. Good luck and have fun!Www@QuestionHome@Com
