Question: Anyone read the pact!?

Anyone read the pact jodi picoult!?!? i read it and need to write 2 questions!. one on how families affect childrens life!. the other on anything from the book!. i have a few ideas but i dont think they are really good!.!.!.cause i read the book 2 months ago and lost the !?s i came up with =[ plz help!. and yeah i did actually read the book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

One thing I've always been curious about is whether Chris and Emily would have been together had their parents not been best friends!. From the beginning, the parents talked about their children getting married; however, I don't think they would have stayed together, if they were really given the chance!. One of my favorite quotes from the book is "She didn't love him enough to marry him, but she loved him too much to tell him that!."

Another interesting point is what parents will do for their children!. How Gus was willing to get on the stand and utterly lie for Chris, if that's what it took, and how Melanie immediately became enemies with Gus after Emily died!. And the screw in there is Michael - willing to testify for Chris, who he had thought of as his own son for Chris' entire life!.

also, Chris' testimony could easily have gone the other way!. It was really sweet and touching, but the jury could easily have said he was still guilty!. Although he said they were so close that it was her, although his hand was on the gun, the jury could have decided not to go with that!. It's just something to think about - what Chris' life would have been like if that hadn't happened!. Would he have forgiven Emily if he'd been convicted!?
