Question: In the book Ishmael, what is section 2 about!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
It is about the fact that the human race invented agriculture, and with agriculture changed the way that people lived and their relationship to the world!. Ishmael attributes war, the destruction of the environment and basically all human suffering to the fact that we made it possible to massively overpopulate ourselves on the planet!.

He attributes the killing of Abel by Cain as a parable of this!. Cain being a farmer, kills, the hunter gatherer and fractures the race into competing tribes, all lit by the dark energy of war and competition rather than peace and cooperation!.

Interesting concept, interesting book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
