Question: How come Harry and Ron do not sound like Crabbe and Goyle after drinking the Polyjuice Potion!?
Though, when Barty Crouch, Jr!. drank it, he would sound like Alastor Moody and couldn't fool anyone!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Barty Crouch fooled everyone for a while!.
Harry and Ron did sound like Crabbe and Goyle, I think!.
If you're talking about the movies, then no, they didn't for a second!.
But in the books it says something like "Harry's voice came out in Goyle's low grumble!." So I think that they did sound like Crabbe and Goyle!. But I think they DID have to adjust their voices to reach that tone (I'm sure that Crouch had some practice time) so you have a point of sorts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's possible that the reason why Harry and Ron didn't sound like Crabbe and Goyle is that they only had a few strands of their hair to place in the Polyjuice Potion!. Barty Jr!. had kidnapped the real Moody and was able to collect more hair from him!. also he kept a steady supply of the potion in his hip flask!.

I think another reason is that an adult wizard like Barty Jr!. would have been more experienced in preparing the potion, whereas a student like Hermione, albeit her being so booksmart, would have had a bit more difficulty!.

Of course, it could be that most of the students didn't know what the real Alastor Moody sounded like, but perhaps Dumbledore and some of the other professors had their suspicions, if they knew what the real Moody sounded like!. Crouch also kept the real Moody locked in his trunk and would perform the Imperius Curse (or probably used Veritaserum) on him in order to get information from him, in order to be more convincing in playing the part!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Imagination!. Sometimes things work, sometimes they don't!. The juice needed to have flaws with Harry and Ron to make them do more things!. Barty was not discovered as Alistor's imposter until the end of the book so it needed to completely obscure his identity all the way through!. No rhyme or reason to fiction!. Oh, and no rules, either!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well the polyjuice potion is only supposed to alter your appearance, i think that Barty Jr!. was making his voice sound like that, he was a very good actor and had been around moody enough to pick it up!. Plus in the book you don't know how much different it was!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Its probably because they were inexperienced with the potion, yet barty didn't know Madeye's personality and said something wrong that gave him away!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because Polyjuice Potion can only change the outside appearance, not the inside (like the vocal chords, for example)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That was changed in the movie!. In the book they did sound like Crabbe and Goyle!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Harry and Ron didnt sound like them because the potion just changes the aperance - not sound or thoughts Crouch jr!. got away with it because he knew dark magicWww@QuestionHome@Com

the movie changed it cause its lame!. in the book they sound like them which is the real thing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

dum dum, the MOVIE had them not sound like them!. in the books they did!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

it depended on how they could pitch their voices!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

woweeeee!.!. have you nothing better to do!? who cares!!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
