Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The land is constant temptation for Odysseus!. He's a man on a mission to return home, but whenever he puts ashore he's tempted by witches, women, drugs, and food!. It would be far easier for Odysseus to simply give up his quest to return home to his wife and son, but he always returns to the ocean and continues his dangerous journey, defying the gods themselves to make it back to his family!.
