In the fifth harry potter book, sirius gives harry a 2 way sort of magical web cam mirror for x-mas!. why doesnt harry used that to contact him instead of dolores umbridges fire place!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

He forgot about it because he just threw it into his trunk!.
and then in the last book when hes going through his things he remembers it and wishes he had used it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

He didn't use it, thinking it might get Sirius out and into trouble!. Harry didn't open the package until the last day of packing, when he found it shattered to pieces!. Meaning that Harry forgot all about the mirror!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
