the S is silent in carlisle!. so you say it like this "car-lile"

volturi is pronounced "vol-tuu-ry"

esme is like this "eh-z-may"Www@QuestionHome@Com

carlisle: CAR-lye-el (this is also the name of a town in MA near where I live, so I know that's how it's pronounced)

volturi: vohl-TOOR-ee (I would say vohl-CHUR-ee but the first one sounds like it would fit in more with the book)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
