Anyone think that the some of the Twilight fans are getting out of hand!? Some questions that calls for non-fiction are answered by crazed fans who answer Twilight, which clearly isn't non-fiction!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Of course I agree with you, dear!. Some of them (not all) do get a little out of control!. But don't you think offending the Twilighters is going to give them more excuses to babble on this question saying "OMG WTF ARe u crzy!!!!!? whatvr twiligt RULLES!! GO TEAM EDWADR!!!"!?

I found Twilight before New Moon came out, and yeah, I was a fan, but I'm a fan of most interesting vampire books!. Twilight was different - not action and gore like most vampire books, but a romance story!. That doesn't explain why it's so damn popular, though!. I've read better vampire books that don't get a quarter of the attention of Twilight!.

And, the fans honestly are annoying!. I've been to two of Meyer's signings, the first one for NM, second one for Eclipse!. The first one was nice, maybe 60 people, and we just kinda stood around talking to the author!. The second one was horrific!. The store was packed!. "Die-hard" fans asked questions that were answered in the FAQs on Meyer's site or in the books themselves!. And a lot of the fans are stupid, too!. It's happened several times where I've tried to discuss something about the books with a person, and they will claw your eyes out to convince you that they and only they are right, even if they're not!. Like, one of my friends considers herself a fan, but she thinks Carlisle's name is something like "Carsil!."

I'm most annoyed by the sheer amount of fans, though!. Again, vampire books generally aren't too popular!. I can't think of any others I've read, other than Interview With a Vampire, that people I talk to have actually heard of!. But, Interview is more or less a classic, so that's understandable!. So the topic isn't popular, Meyer's writing style is good but not great, the characters are interesting, but not breathtakingly real, so could someone please explain to me what is it that makes the Twilight series so popular!? Twilight isn't a good book!. Edward Cullen isn't even a good character!. He is such bad influence and I think he deserves a slow, sad death!.

I know!!! I actually started to read the series last week, just to see what all the fuss was, and I have to admit that its pretty good, but there really is no reason to get THAT obsessive!.!.!.!. I can see discussing it every now and then with your friends, but some take it to a EXTREME (ie- my friend's sister was in a store, and while clothes shopping exclaims "OMG, BELLA WOULD TOTALLY WEAR THIS!!!!")

While I say this, I do realize that there will always be twilightards, much like there will be narutards, Death Notetards, or bleachies (for those of us who enjoy anime maybe just a BIT too much (I lie, can NEVER have too much anime ^_^)) no matter how much we try to make them go away *points to "bella cullen"*Www@QuestionHome@Com
