I'm trying to decide between Beatty, Clarisse, Faber, and Montag's wife!.
Identify and analyze the three characters who influenced Montag's decisions in the novel!. Use examples from the story to support your answer!.

I'd drop Montag's wife her role in the story is more to show what happens when we fail to "develop" a sense of self!.
Clarisse by her share eccentricity and later most poignantly by her death cause Montang to question aspects of his life which before he had taken for granted!. She serves as the fulcrum to the change he begins that eventually leads to the decision he makes!.
Beatty and Faber both confused and clarified things for Montag!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Clarisse's conversations with him in the beginning of the book affecting him greatly, making him realize how dead-end the society was!. She helped him realize the more important things in life, and how he wasn't happy with life as it was!.
Motag's own wife also helped him realize that modern lifestyle was killing them mentally!. She is a total idiot who is just obsessed with the TV!.
Faber showed him a way out and picked up the touch after Clarisse died!. Montag knew the society was stupid, but didn't know where to go!. Faber helped him to find the underground resistenceWww@QuestionHome@Com
clarisse did cause she taught him to think and open his eyes to the world that he never saw!.
faber did cause he taught him to read and understand what it was saying!.
i dont really remember what montag's wife did or what beatty did!.
