There is a book called The Puppet Wrangler, by Vicki Grant!. Telly is sent to live with her TV producer aunt in Toronto after her older sister gets in trouble, and encounters a puppet that is alive and cynical!. Very funny!.

Another one is Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, co-written by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn!. Nick and Norah [obviously] meet in a punk rock club in New York and spend the night falling in love while examining their own failed relationships, with a backdrop of music, of course!.

The last one I've got is Fat Kid Rules the World by KL Going!. Troy is overweight and a social outcast who decides to throw himself under a train when he meets Curt, a young homeless man who was known at Troy's school as a guitar prodigy!. They decide to create a band, with Troy on drums !. !. !. except he can't play drums!.
