Question: Would you read a book for a boys point of view if it was written by a girl!?
I had a really good idea one night and I started writing it from a boy's point of view!. I am already very far into it, but last night I was wondering if my being a girl and all will turn off readers!. I am supposed to send part of it to a publisher in 3 weeks, but now I am not so sure if I should!. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!. ^w^ Www@QuestionHome@Com

*i actually prefer female authors to write from a guy's perspective, cuz the guys always tend to be sweeter, since a girl kno's what we want to hear:), as long as it's believable
*i would like totally be in love with your character is he was real:) someone sensitive, but tough when it comes down to it!.!.!.!.thats my kinda man?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I love a male narrator, even when it's written by a girl!. But you might want a few guys to read some of your manuscript and tell you if Zane sounds guy-ish enough!. I hate it when a girl author writes from a guy's perspective and makes him super-sensitive all the time!. The truth is, guys aren't always sensitive and compassionate!. What I'm saying is, just make sure he acts like a real guy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Keep going!. Rumble Fish and The Outsiders, written from a young man's perspective, are both books that every boy I went to school with read and loved!. They were written by a young lady like yourself!. They were hugely popular!. She did author the books under her initials so as not to give away her sex, but they were tremendous books!. Why not you!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

okay!.!.!.i am definetly going to read Stephenie Meyer's Midnight Sun and that is form Edward's Point of view!. And i read Jacob's point of view too so that is really cool that you are writing a book and i don't think anyone would get turned off from your book because you are a girl!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Stephenie Meyer the author of twilight she is coming out with a book called midnight sun which is twilight in edwards point of view i cant wait to read that so i think you should give it a go!. I wish i was Mrs Edward Cullen too Best of Luck!!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, but you do need to be careful and think like a guy!. Writing a book from a male perspective and still sounding like a girl is a huge turn off!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It kinda depends on what kind of book it is!. If the theme is about love and stuff like that you should be care full!. Its would be really awkwarder if the guy was thinking like a girl, lol Www@QuestionHome@Com

that's hard to say!. i don't think a girl can be really convincing as a guy iin the same way a guy can't be convincing as a girl!. but hey, that's just my opinion!. good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

if it was really good, yeah probably!.
but not if it was a new author or someone not good at writing from different points of view, it would probably be confusing or weird!. =]Www@QuestionHome@Com
