Question: "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens!?

I'm looking for a point/quote in the book where Pip mentions his intrest in being a blacksmith!. (before he meets Ms!. Havisham) Page number would help a lot too!. :) Www@QuestionHome@Com

From chapter 7: "When I was old enough, I was to be apprenticed to Joe, and until I could assume that dignity I was not to be what Mrs!. Joe called "Pompeyed," or (as I render it) pampered!."

The page number will differ with each edition!. In my hardcover copy, it can be found on page 49!. It is in the second paragraph of the chapter!. You can also read it online (and search through the story) at http://www!.online-literature!.com/dickens!.!.!. The Literature Network!.

In this quote Pip calls it the "dignity" to be apprenticed to Joe, so I take it to mean he is looking forward to it at that point!.
