"Everything is Illuminated" by Jonathan Safran Foer!. About a young man, also named Jonathan Safran Foer, goes looking for the woman who saved his grandfather's life from the Nazis!. "Vile Bodies" by Evelyn Waugh (who is, in fact, a man)!. This book is a satire of high society young people in the 1920s!. It follows a man named Adam Fenwick-Symes, 35 thousand pounds, and an assortment of other odd characters!. "Empire of the Sun" by JG Ballard!. Mostly-fictional story of an English boy named Jim trapped in a POW camp in WWII China!. "Jude the Obscure" by Thomas Hardy!. About a young man named Jude, who loves his cousin, Sue, and she loves him too and it just grows complicated from there!. "Crusade in Jeans" by it-escapes-me-at-the-moment-who!. The Chapter where a woman watches her own coffin being made caused me to miss my bus-stop!. Absalom Absalom is also great!. You might have already read Catcher in the Rye, if you haven't I suggest you do!. People have a very visceral reaction to it!. If you like it Rule of the Bone is very good!.
