No, they aren't at all!. The Spill Canvas was formed in 2002, and Stephanie Meyers didn't even start writing Twilight until June of 2003!. But that's very interesting; I have never made a connection between the Spill Canvas and Twilight before- but then again, I've never tried to!. May I ask what songs or album in particular you see synonymous themes to the books!?
Anyway, if you are interested in music that might relates to the Twilight series, Stephanie Meyers creates a playlist of music that inspired each book!. I must say Stephanie really does have good taste in music!. Haha!. But anyway it's really cool!. You should check it out!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't mean to take up answering space, but I've not heard of The Spill Canvas band!. However, they would not be the first band to be based off of a book series!. For Harry Potter, there are two bands that I know of: Harry and the Potters, and Draco and the Malfoys!. Both are inspired by that series and both play songs about the events that take place in the novels!. This being said, it is quite possible that The Spill Canvas could be based off of the Twilight series!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
