Portrait of the Artist As a Young Man, by James Joyce and The Way of All Flesh by Samuel Butler!. Both great genuine literary classics!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

How about A SEPARATE PEACE by John Knowles!? I would highly, highly suggest it!. I read it my sophomore year of high school, and it was the best book that I ever read in high school (and there were many)!. It's really amazing!.

also, THE CATCHER IN THE RYE by JD Salinger is great!. The novel itself is told from the perspective of a 17 year-old male, so it's quite easy to relate to for anyone around that age!. I think it's a must-read!.

John Irving says "The truest novel about growing up since THE CATCHER IN THE RYE!.”
